Real Madrid attacker Vinicius Junior is close to receiving his Spanish passport.
Although an exact date has not been specified, it is expected that he will soon acquire dual nationality, reports Marca.
The process to receive a Spanish passport has taken far longer than was initially expected, when the process began in the summer of 2022.
At that time, Vinicius had lived in Spain for two years and he was therefore eligible to apply for Spanish citizenship.
The Brazilian then had to pass a series of tests. The first was the CCSE exam, which measures knowledge of the Spanish Constitution, as well as Spanish society and culture.
The second test was the oral exam, and having passed both news is expected any day now that he has received his Spanish passport.
