Real Madrid assistant manager Davide Ancelotti has emerged as a managerial target for Ligue 1 outfit Stade de Reims.

That’s according to French football insider Santi Aouna, who has on Monday provided an insight into the situation.

Davide Ancelotti, son of Real Madrid head coach Carlo, has long been building a reputation for himself as a potential mastermind in the making.

An unsung hero behind the ongoing successes of Los Blancos, the Italian is known to boast a whole host of standout attributes, from his tactical understanding of the game, to man management.

Ancelotti himself has previously confirmed his intention to one day make the step up to a head coaching position.

And, as alluded to above, if the latest word stemming from France is anything to go by, he could soon be afforded a shot at precisely that.

As per Santi Aouna of FootMercato, Ligue 1 outfit Stade de Reims have identified Ancelotti as one of five potential successors to Will Still.

The Reims brass have already begun ‘exploring’ avenues towards the appointment of the 34-year-old, albeit with all of Luka Elsner, Miron Muslic, João Sacramento and Joël Magnin also in the running for the post.
