In a recent report, Tuttosport claimed that Real Madrid are showing interest in Inter Milan defender Alessandro Bastoni this summer. It has been stated that Los Blancos are eyeing a move to recruit the Italy international in the upcoming transfer period.

Bastoni’s Impressive Form In Serie A

The 25-year-old is having a solid campaign at San Siro as he has put in a series of impressive performances at the heart of Inter’s backline. Bastoni has registered one goal and picked up three assists in 33 appearances for the Italian outfit this season across multiple competitions.

The Italian sensation has been a dominant presence inside his half based on his average of 1.6 tackles, 0.9 interceptions and 1.7 clearances per game in Serie A. He has even been accurate when distributing possession from the back after completing 90% of his attempted passes in the Italian top tier (stats via whoscored).

His current contract at the Italian club will expire in the summer of 2028 which could make it difficult for Los Blancos to snap him up on a cut-price deal later this year.
