In a recent report, AS mentioned that Real Madrid are keeping tabs on Sevilla full-back Juanlu Sanchez. It has been stated that Los Blancos are monitoring the progress of the Spanish defender ahead of a potential move in the future.

Sanchez’s Impressive Run Of Form In La Liga

The 20-year-old is having a great campaign at the Andalusian club as he has put in a handful of impressive displays on the right side of their defence. Sanchez has made 21 appearances for Sevilla this season, picking up three assists in the process across all fronts.

The Spanish talent has been a decent performer in both halves based on his average of 3.1 tackles, 0.8 interceptions, 1.2 clearances, 0.8 shots, 0.9 key passes and 1.5 dribbles per 90 minutes in La Liga. He has even been excellent when distributing possession from the right flank as evidenced by his pass success rate of 83.6% in league football (stats via whoscored).

His current contract at the Andalusian club will expire in the summer of 2026. Hence, it won’t be easy for Los Blancos to sign him on a cut-price deal this year.

Real Madrid Are Keeping Tabs On Sanchez: Is He A Prospect For The Future?

Sanchez is a tough-tackling defender who can sense the danger quickly to earn the ball back for his team inside his half. He doesn’t mind clearing the danger when needed and can shoot the ball with power from long range.

The Spanish prospect has got the vision to create some decent plays for his teammates in the opponent’s half. He is a decent dribbler with the ball at his feet. Sanchez is primarily a right-back but can also play as a wide player on either flank if asked to do so by his manager.

We can expect him to bring more quality to Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti’s defensive department. At 20, Sanchez has the potential to become a future star in Spanish football.

With all things considered, the Spanish youngster is undeniably a prospect to watch out for in the future. Therefore, Los Blancos would be wise to move in for him this January or at the end of this campaign.
