In a recent tweet, journalist Manu Amor claimed that Real Madrid are in advanced talks to recruit Bayern Munich ace, Alphonso Davies. It has been mentioned that Los Blancos are eyeing a move to sign the Canadian full-back next year.
Davies is having a solid campaign at the German club as he has put in a run of decent displays on the left side of their defence. The Canada international has picked up three assists in 19 appearances for Bayern this season across all competitions.
The 23-year-old has caught the eye at both ends of the pitch based on his average of 1.2 tackles, 0.8 interceptions, 1.4 clearances, 0.5 shots, 1.5 key passes and 2.7 dribbles per game in the Bundesliga. He has even been tidy when distributing possession from the left flank after making 89.6% of his attempted passes in the German top-flight (stats via whoscored).
His current contract at the Allianz Arena will expire in the summer of 2025 which could open the door for Real Madrid to sign him on the cheap at the end of this season.

Davies loves a tackle and can scan the danger well to earn possession back for his side inside his half. He doesn’t mind clearing the danger when needed and can shoot the ball with venom from long range.
The Canadian sensation can create a few inviting chances for his teammates up top and is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet. He mainly operates as a left-back but can also fill in as a left-winger if told to do so by his manager.
We can expect Davies to enhance the quality of Real Madrid‘s first team. He would be an upgrade over Ferland Mendy and Fran Garcia at the Spanish club next season. At 23, he will only get better in the coming seasons which makes him a worthy target for the Madrid outfit to pursue next summer.
Davies could even help Real Madrid compete for some major honours over the next decade. Thus, Los Blancos should focus on going all out to snap him up in the next summer transfer window.
