Real Madrid made it two wins from two in La Liga on Saturday evening.

The Spanish champions were pushed all the way by Almeria in their first fixture, but eventually secured a 2-1 comeback victory thanks to David Alaba’s superb second half free-kick.

Against Celta Vigo on Saturday, things were far easier for Real Madrid. They cruised to a 4-1 away win without both Casemiro and Toni Kroos in midfield next to Luka Modric – who bagged one of the goals.

Karim Benzema, Vinicius Junior and Fede Valverde were Los Blancos’ other scorers on the night, with Iago Aspas the man responsible for Celta Vigo’s sole effort.

It was a dominant display from Carlo Ancelotti’s men. Aurélien Tchouaméni and Eduardo Camavinga were superb in midfield, while summer arrival Antonio Rudiger was solid after replacing Dani Carvajal in the 69th minute.

And the Chelsea icon even found time to bring out some of his crazy antics while Real Madrid were 4-1 up and cruising.

During a short but eventful cameo, Rudiger completed one of the bonkers runs with the ball across the pitch that have become something of a trademark for him in recent years.

His running style at times is quite simply hilarious, but it’s also very effective and Real Madrid were actually awarded a penalty at the end of the burst – which has unsurprisingly gone viral on social media.

Check out footage of Rudiger’s wild 85th minute run at Abanca Balaidos and listen out for the commentator’s laugh in response to it…

The man is just pure Box Office entertainment, isn’t he? Rudiger’s run also paved the way for Eden Hazard to score his first goal of the season from the penalty spot, but it just wasn’t to be for the Belgian maestro.

Hazard saw his tame effort saved by Celta Vigo goalkeeper Agustin Marchesin after Benzema selflessly gave him the responsibility from 12 yards.

The Chelsea legend has scored only six goals since joining Real Madrid in a mega-money move back in the summer of 2019, which is seriously concerning.

However, Hazard at least looks back fully fit and that is a huge positive for Ancelotti and Madridistas following years of injury issues for the supremely-gifted forward.

Will 2022/23 finally be the season we see the real Hazard in the Spanish capital? We can only hope so.
