Carlo Ancelotti is back at Real Madrid six years after leaving, the club have confirmed.
Following Zinedine Zidane’s departure last week, the Italian emerged as a surprise contender to return to the role on Monday.
And Los Blancos have now unveiled Ancelotti as their new coach after agreeing a deal to bring him in from Everton.
The former Milan tactician has signed a three-year contract to return as Real boss.
Ancelotti previously coached the club from 2013 until 2015, winning four major honours including the Champions League.
Since leaving, the 61-year-old has been in charge at Bayern Munich, Napoli and most recently, Everton for 18 months.
