Real Madrid and Bayern Munich have reached a verbal agreement over the sale of Alphonso Davies.

That’s according to a story in the Athletic on Monday which claims that the flying full-back will be a Los Blancos player in either six or 18 months.

Davies’ current deal at the Allianz Arena expires in June 2025 with the Canada international already confirming to Bayern that he will not extend beyond next summer.

Despite interest from clubs in England, Davies is desperate to play for Carlo Ancelotti’s side and has reached his own agreement with the Spanish champions to sign.

Now it’s up to Madrid and Bayern to either sort a cut-price deal at the end of this season or wait until next year when the 23-year-old is available for free.

Davies has been beset with injuries this term, missing the last three Bundesliga matches with a ligament strain.
