Spanish football’s two biggest clubs are expressing a keen interest in the signature of one of South American football’s next best up-and-coming talents.
The player in question? Kaua Elias.
Elias, for his part, is a 17-year-old attacker, currently plying his trade with Brazilian heavyweights Fluminense.
The starlet has managed two senior appearances for Fluminense to date, but it is his exploits on the international stage which have begun to catch the eye of clubs across Europe.
This comes with Elias, in 12 outings for Brazil’s U17 side, having racked up a head-turning nine goals.
Also capable of lining out in a deeper 2nd strike role, the Uberlândia native is widely considered to be a star in the making, with the aforementioned Real Madrid and Barcelona in the thick of the race for his services.
As per a report from Telefoot, as cited by Mundo Deportivo, the respective boards in Madrid and Catalunya have earmarked Elias as a chief summer target.
Both Clásico clubs have of course enjoyed recent success in dipping into the Brazilian market, Barcelona with Vitor Roque, and Real with soon-to-be Blanco Endrick.
