A few days ago, The Athletic reported that Vinicius Jr.’s camp turned down Real Madrid’s initial contract offer as they try to secure the Brazilian long-term, with rising interest from Saudi Arabia. Now, Saudi Arabia is reportedly aiming to capitalize on this opportunity.
Real Madrid began contract talks with Vinicius in mid-January, initially gauging his demands. They offered a salary increase to his representatives, Roc Nation, but the first proposal was quickly rejected.
This development could attract the attention of Paris Saint-Germain, who may be keeping an eye on the situation. While PSG no longer needs to chase star power as they once did and has already spent heavily on big names, they might still consider a move if the chance arises.
Journalist Sacha Tavolieri recently reported that Vinicius’ advisors have had informal discussions with PSG, who are closely monitoring the situation and could make a move if Real Madrid doesn’t meet his expectations.

Vinicius Jr.’s future at Real Madrid is secured until 2027, but both he and the club are already eyeing beyond that. The Brazilian is a key asset for the club, yet he’s also attracting interest from Saudi Arabia’s growing league.
Nonetheless, AS reported on Thursday that a massive offer is on the table from Saudi Arabia: €300 million for the transfer fee and €200 million per season for the player over five years.
This information comes after Marca reported that Vinícius Jr.’s entourage sees the offer as “irresistible,” and the player is seriously weighing his options.
However, his main worry is how a move might impact his image, as he doesn’t want to come across as being driven solely by money. Even so, he hasn’t made a final decision yet.
