Real Betis veteran Joaquin on victory over Ferencvaros: Mission accomplished | OneFootball

Real Betis veteran Joaquin was delighted to be part of their Europa League win against Ferencvaros.

Betis won 2-0 via goals from Cristian Tello and Sergio Canales.

Joaquin said, "It's mission accomplished. We wanted to finish top of the group but it couldn't be – we're second. The objective was to get through and we're happy because today was important. They had nothing to play for and we had a lot to play for. We went out from the off to decide the game quickly and we're happy because we achieved our objective.

"For me to be able to play in Europe in front of our fans, my people my family, my colleagues, I try to make the most of this responsibility and what it means. I try to enjoy every moment. Today was a great night. I think people enjoyed it – the weather didn't help us but it's been a great night.

"It's a very important step for us. We are competing well. We've faced some very good teams in this first stage and to get through means a lot to us – it makes you compete and to grow as a club."
