Real Betis star agrees contract termination | OneFootball

A long-time member of the midfield ranks at La Liga outfit Real Betis has agreed to the terms of an immediate contract termination with the club.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who point towards William Carvalho as the player in question.

Portuguese international Carvalho, for his part, has been on the books at Real Betis since all the way back in the summer of 2018.

The 33-year-old has since gone on to rack up a considerable 223 appearances for the Verdiblancos, the most of any foreign player in the club’s storied history.

As alluded to above, though, Carvalho will not be afforded the chance to add to his record in Seville this coming season.

This comes amid confirmation that the deep-lying midfielder is ready to depart with immediate effect.

As per a report from MD:

‘Portuguese midfielder William Carvalho reached an agreement on Wednesday to terminate his contract with Real Betis until June 2026 and join Qatari side Al-Wakrah for the next two seasons, sources told EFE.’
