According to Michael Van Vaerenbergh, Real Betis are looking to sign Ferran Jutglà from Club Brugge. Van Vaerenbergh is reporting that the La Liga side prefer to pursue the former Barcelona forward over other targets, such as Leicester City forward Kelechi Iheanacho and Roma’s Sardar Azmoun. Jutglà returned from a lengthy injury lay off this season and has scored three league goals this season.

Jutglà joined Club Brugge back in the summer of 2022 for around €5m from Barcelona, where he had scored two goals in nine appearances for the senior side. Since joining the then defending Belgian champions, the striker has scored 18 goals in 68 games. However, this season he has been replaced by the free scoring Brazilian striker Thiago Rodrigues. According to the report, Real Betis will likely offer €8m for the 24-year-old.

Prior to the scoring streak of Thiago, Club Brugge were considering looking for another striker this January. Yet if Jutglà were to depart, they may well return to the transfer market to find a replacement.
