Real Betis make decision on Rodri Sánchez ahead of the summer | OneFootball

An insight into the future of Rodri Sánchez at Real Betis has been provided late this evening.

The info comes courtesy of Estadio Deportivo, who point towards Sánchez being in line for a potential departure from the Estadio Benito Villamarín.

Attacker Sánchez, for his part, was hotly tipped for a Betis exit during the January transfer window.

Amid interest in his services on the part of a host of clubs from across Europe, Serie A outfit Fiorentina are understood to have come closest to striking a deal for the 23-year-old.

In the end, however, Sánchez stayed put.

This came after the Verdiblancos brass refused to budge on their asking price, understood to have come in the region of €12 million.

Had an offer satisfying their demands been forthcoming, the belief is that Betis would have been very much open to a sale.

And a similar stance is expected to be adopted in the summer.

As per the aforementioned ED:

Celta ‘intends to listen to offers for him in the next transfer window with the hope that now they will reach the figures they want to make cash’.

The plan is therefore to afford Sánchez plenty of opportunities to impress over the remaining months of the season, to ensure that his value remains intact with a view to an incoming sale.
