Real Betis identify Lille star as leading summer target | OneFootball

The brass at La Liga outfit Real Betis have earmarked LOSC Lille star Ivan Cavaleiro as a leading transfer target for the summer.

That’s according to French outlet Foot Mercato, who have this week provided an insight into the situation.

The powers that be at Betis, it is understood, have already begun planning for next season, with the versatile Cavaleiro having emerged atop the Verdiblancos’ target list.

The 30-year-old, for his part, linked up with Ligue 1 outfit Lille last summer, on a short-term contract.

And he has since gone on to play something of a bit-part role for Les Dogues, with a positive opening to the campaign having been derailed by a long-term injury back in November.

Likely to be available on the cheap this summer, though, Cavaleiro could be afforded a fresh start, in La Liga.

As much comes with the aforementioned Betis ready to swoop, to add the former Wolves and Fulham man to Manuel Pellegrini’s ranks for the 2024/25 campaign.
