Real Betis appear to putting the final touches to their first deal of 2025. Los Verdiblancos have been pushed by their salary limit in recent seasons, and it looks as if Assane Diao will be the latest victim.
The teenage winger was close to a €25m move last January to Brentford, but his stock has fallen over the last year with Manuel Pellegrini opting for other options. Diao, 19, was a target for Feyenoord, Porto and Hoffenheim in the summer, explain Relevo, but he will now be heading to Serie A. Como are set to agree a deal in the region of €11m.
This season Diao has been used just as much through the middle as he has out wide, with the Spain under-19 international featuring for 742 minutes, managing two goals in that time. If Betis do secure a sale for Diao, it has been reported that they could look to move in the January transfer market, although it is not yet clear how much of that money will be available to use.
