Real Betis chief speaks on possibility of keeping Man United star Antony for next season | OneFootball

Real Betis CEO Ramón Alarcón has this week spoken out on the possibility of the club keeping hold of Antony for the 2025/26 campaign.

Winger Antony of course secured a temporary move to the Estadio Benito Villamarín during the January transfer window.

Following another hugely disappointing half-season on the books of Manchester United, the Brazilian linked up with Manuel Pellegrini’s troops on loan.

And Antony has since gone on to enjoy a fine start to life in Spain.

After first securing Man of the Match honours courtesy of his debut performance against Athletic Club, the former Ajax man then opened his account in Betis colours in the club’s weekend meeting with Celta Vigo.

Speaking to Cadena SER on Tuesday, Verdiblancos CEO Ramón Alarcón was therefore drawn on the chances of the club keeping hold of Antony beyond the summer.

And in quotes relaid by Fabrizio Romano, Alarcón refused to rule out the possibility, in explaining:

“Why not keep Antony here next season? It’s a possibility. We sent Man United all the moves and details of the player throughout the week so that they can see that we are looking after their asset. There is very good chemistry.”
