Real Betis are set to beat a host of other clubs to the signing of Granada goalkeeper Rui Silva, according to a Spanish media report.
As per Catalan newspaper Mundo Deportivo, Betis have agreed a contract with the Portuguese goalkeeper, 26, who also had interest shown from Sevilla, Valencia, Villarreal, Everton, AC Milan, Inter and Lazio, among others.
Los Verdiblancos have agreed a four-year contract with Silva’s representatives from this summer when he will be able join on a free tranfer after his current deal expires.
Silva may not comply with the agreement reached if he ends up receiving a better offer, but the pre-contract agreed states that Silva will have to pay Real Betis a sum of money if he breaks the agreement.
This season Silva, who was subject to a €4 million offer from Real Betis last Summer, has made 23 appearances across all competitions and he has kept nine clean sheets.
Inter will soon need to be on the lookout for a replacement to Samir Handanovic, whose performances have drawn considerable criticism from supporters this season.
