Chelsea have enquired about the situation surrounding Arsenal forward Ethan Nwaneri according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
The Blues have already been busy this summer, and have signed Liam Delap, Jamie Gittens and Joao Pedro, whilst bringing another attacker in hasn’t been ruled out.
Chelsea are also said to be in the market for a centre back, whilst they need to move a number of players on who are surplus to requirements.
In order for another forward to arrive one of the current crop will have to leave, and it looks likely to be Noni Madueke.
Madueke has agreed personal terms with Arsenal, and the Gunners are thought to be preparing their opening offer for the 23-year-old.

Chelsea hold interest in West Ham’s Mohammed Kudus, but it appears the Blues are interested in Arsenal’s England under-21 international Nwaneri.
The Blues tried to sign Nwaneri in 2023, and he’s now into the final year of his contract with the Gunners, but talks have stalled, and Romano has provided an update on the situation.
“Chelsea, in the last 24 hours have inquired about Ethan Nwaneri’s situation,” he told his YouTube channel.
“Something like if there are problems over game time or his contract with Arsenal, Chelsea will be ready to make a proposal.

“So Chelsea have positioned themselves, telling people close to the player and also telling those who are well informed on the story that they will be ready to attack for Nwaneri.”
Nwaneri is a product of Arsenal’s academy and the 18-year-old scored four goals and registered two assists in 26 Premier League appearances last season.
Mohammed Kudus is on Chelsea’s radar and they are interested in the Ghana international, who’s set to leave the Hammers this summer.
The Blues face competition from rivals Tottenham, who have already had a £50m bid rejected, with West Ham thought to want £60m.
Chelsea were close to signing Kudus in 2023 when he was at Ajax, and he’s remained on their radar, although it remains to be seen if the Blues will seriously follow up on their interest.
