According to Sport1, Austria international Konrad Laimer has actively indicated his preference to join Bayern Munich, whilst the Bavarian club have also expressed their interest in the player.

Bayern head coach Julian Nagelsmann views the midfielder as a ‘pressing machine’ and believes he’d be the perfect fit for his system. It’s reported that Bayern value the midfielder at up to €20m, but have so far made no official bid.

Bayern sporting director Hasan Salihamidžić insists there is no hurry to close the deal immediately, with the Bayern hierarchy believing that RB Leipzig are currently under pressure to sell Laimer this summer if they want to receive substantial money for him, given that his contract runs out next year.

However, RB Leipzig would prefer to sell the player abroad in an attempt to not sell to a direct Bundesliga rival. There has been recorded interested from several Premier League clubs.

Though Laimer has made his choice clear. The player wants Bayern Munich and is said to be excited by the possibility of working with former coach Nagelsmann once more. Bayern made an attempt last summer to prize Laimer away from Leipzig, with the club looking to complete what they previously couldn’t quite finish.
