He said, "My time at Chelsea is portrayed as weaker than it was at the end.

"In my first season I was the top scorer for the 'Blues' and won the UEFA Champions League. You couldn't really ask for much more. Unfortunately, the second season was a bit unfortunate.

"I set a record in 'goals withdrawn by VAR'.(laughs) Then I struggled with corona and injuries, which didn't improve my standing in the team.

"Unfortunately, it didn't recover afterwards either. That's why it was the logical step to leave in terms of more playing time.

"My level has definitely increased since 2020 - in the Premier League you also have to develop and constantly work on yourself. Because the competition is very big there: everyone wants to start. So everyone trains hard. Now at 26, I know the importance that training should have.

"I've always lacked some robustness and physical elements. To learn that, England was perfect. In the Premier League you have to accept every duel, otherwise you go under. I've learned to work a lot more with my body so that I can get to the ball better."
