Bundesliga outfit RB Leipzig have this weekend sent a message the way of La Liga heavyweights Barcelona.
As much, of course, comes fresh off the long-running transfer talks between the two clubs at last bearing fruit.
After several weeks of will he, won’t he speculation in the media, Dani Olmo’s move back to Barcelona was at last made official on Friday afternoon.
The 26-year-old – fresh off playing a starring role for the triumphant Spain squad at Euro 2024 – has put pen to paper on terms at the Camp Nou through the summer of 2030.
Olmo’s Barca switch brings to an end what was an altogether productive stint at the Red Bull Arena, which saw the Spaniard establish himself as a key player en route to a pair of DFB-Pokal titles, as well as the German Super Cup.
Safe to say, then, that he will be sorely missed by all at his now-former club.
As alluded to above, RB Leipzig, in turn, have since moved to send a message the way of Barcelona over their plans for Olmo over the years to come.
Taking to the comments section of one of the Blaugrana’s Instagram posts featuring the midfielder, Leipzig wrote:
‘El Mago! What a player! Take good care of him!’
