According to Philipp Hinze, RB Leipzig have received positive injury news regarding full-back David Raum.
The German international is recovering well after having ligament surgery on his right ankle in early October. As per the report, Raum will begin individual training on the pitch in the coming weeks before gradually joining team training.
The current goal for Raum is a comeback in mid-to-late December and could possibly be available for competitive matches just before the winter break starts.
The 26-year-old full back has featured six times in the Bundesliga before his injury against Heidenheim in October.
If Raum is available for selection again in late December, it will provide a massive boost for Marco Rose’s team.
The Saxons are currently going through a rough patch having not won a game in their last three matches in all competitions.
Additionally, Leipzig have come under criticism in previous weeks for their poor defensive displays. Raum’s reintroduction will provide more stability as they aim to push Bayern Munich for the Bundesliga title this campaign.
