It was a dramatic evening as RB Leipzig came from two goals down to beat Borussia Mönchengladbach 3-2 at the Red Bull Arena.
Goals from Christopher Nkunku, Yussuf Poulsen and Alexander Sørloth were enough to cancel out first-half strikers from Jonas Hofmann and Marcus Thuram.
Scorers: Nkunku 57′, Poulsen 66′, Sørloth 90+3′; Hofmann 6′ (pen), Thuram 19′
Gladbach were ahead after just six minutes when Dayot Upamecano clumsily fouled Breel Embolo in the box, allowing Jonas Hofmann to convert from 12 yards.
The visitors doubled their lead shortly after through Marcus Thuram who headed past Péter Gulácsi from close range having been left unmarked.
But Leipzig fought back after half-time and equalised through Alexander Sørloth, only for his effort to be (correctly) ruled out after a handball in the build-up.
Christopher Nkunku did eventually make the breakthrough after finishing well from Marcel Halstenberg’s cross, before snuck in a long range strike off the post.
And deep into injury time, their pressure paid off when Sørloth rose highest in stoppage time to fire a bullet header past Yann Sommer, snatching three points in dramatic fashion.
