RB Leipzig confirm signing of Mohamed Simakan

RB Leipzig have confirmed the signing of Strasbourg defender Mohamed Simakan.

Simakan will join the club on a five-year deal this summer, for a reported fee of €18m.

“I chose to join RB Leipzig because I think the club is best for my career,” he told the club’s official website.

“I want to integrate as quickly as possible and play my part in helping the club achieve its goals.”

The 20-year-old joined Strasbourg in 2017 and rose quickly through the ranks, making 44 appearances across all competitions.
