RB Leipzig have completed the signing of Napoli midfielder Eljif Elmas on Wednesday evening.
The Macedonian will join the Bundesliga club for a reported fee of €25 million after Elmas agreed to a four-and-a-half-year contract.
The 24-year-old leaves Napoli having racked up 19 goals and 11 assists across 189 appearances with the club.
“By securing the signing of Eljif Elmas, we’ve managed to fill an important position in our attack following Emil Forsberg’s departure,” RB Leipzig Sporting Director Rouven Schröder said.
“We’ve been monitoring Eljif for a while because he’s an exciting prospect. He looks like the full package, will be a perfect fit for the team personality-wise and he’ll be able to help the team straightaway with his quality.”
Leipzig currently sit in fourth place, nine points off the top of the Bundesliga.
