Sky Germany reports that negotiations between RB Leipzig and Arsenal over a potential transfer of Benjamin Seško have already begun.
A meeting between Leipzig sporting director Marcel Schäfer and Andrea Berta of Arsenal took place in London, where discussions over a transfer were held.
It is currently unclear if Arsenal can even afford the Seško at the moment, so there have been talks over a payment structure to help afford the €80m release clause. However, it was previously reported that Leipzig are open to different ways of payment, as it means they are then able to drive up the price for the 21-year-old.
Following Leipzig’s missing out on Europe completely, it is clear that Seško wants to leave the club. Last season, the Slovenian scored 13 and assisted five times as Leipzig finished eighth.
Seško is not the only one who will leave the Red Bull Arena this summer, with Xavi Simons also linked with a move away. However, the future of the Dutch international is less clear, with no team concretely linked to him yet.
