Rayo Vallecano star ruled out for the rest of the season | OneFootball

A member of the defensive ranks at La Liga outfit Rayo Vallecano will not take to the pitch in a competitive setting again this season.

The player in question? Abdul Mumin.

Mumin, for his part, has played a leading role for surprise package Rayo across the season to date.

All told, the Ghanaian has featured from the off in all but two of his club’s La Liga fixtures, thoroughly impressing along the way.

This past weekend, however, Mumin was forced into a premature departure from proceedings, as Rayo were held to a 1-1 draw by Sevilla.

And as much, it has today been confirmed, came owing to a serious injury.

As per a report from Mundo Deportivo:

‘Abdul Mumin will be out for the rest of the season due to the injury he suffered to his left knee last Saturday. After the first tests carried out, it has been determined that it is a serious injury that could force him to undergo surgery.’
