L’Équipe report this afternoon that Wolves defender Rayan Aït-Nouri has chosen to represent Algeria, having previously been a French youth international until 2020.

The Fennec Foxes had had long been trying to win over the former Angers man, who will now be available for a call-up from the March international break. The 21-year-old had appeared for Les Bleuets’ U18, U19 and U21 in the past.

There could also be change at club level for the full-back, with L’Équipe also reporting that the player’s entourage has opened the door to a departure from the Premier League side. With his contract expiring at the end of the 2025/26 season, Sevilla are notably interested in a January move.

Since making the move across the Channel in 2020, Aït-Nouri has made 66 appearances for Wolves, the left-back registering four goals and eight assists in his two and a half seasons in the Premier League so far.
