Frazsiers Whip vs. Tigres UANL Femenil

Fraziers Whip will welcome Tigres UANL Femenil in Group A on Wednesday at the National Stadium in Kingston, Jamaica.

The Jamaican champions will turn its home field as it seeks to overturn two losses on the road. Italya Robinson, the club’s 16-year-old goalkeeper, has ten saves in the campaign as one of the region’s rising talents.

Tigres UANL Femenil will play its second game, and its first away, after winning its debut match against rivals CF Monterrey. The team had four goalscorers, including reigning FIFA Women’s World champion Jennifer Hermoso, captain Cristina Ferral, Maricarmen Reyes, and WAFCON champion Thembi Kgatlana.

San Diego Wave vs. Portland Thorns

Two NWSL sides meet when San Diego Wave hosts Portland Thorns in Group B on Wednesday at Snapdragon Stadium in San Diego, California.

The reigning NWSL Shield winners will be without former captain Alex Morgan who recently retired from professional soccer. The Wave still has impressive names on their team like Mexican star Maria Sanchez, and Kristen McNabb, who was the player of the match in their first encounter against Santa Fe.

The Thorns have the historical advantage, with an overall record of 5W-2D-3L in ten games against San Diego. As three-time NWSL Champions, Portland has shown its championship caliber with the likes of Canadian icon Christine Sinclair, who struck a brace in the team’s opener. Yet to debut in the tournament is U.S. star Sophia Smith, who helped her nation to Olympic gold this summer and the inaugural Concacaf W Gold Cup in January.

NJ/NY Gotham FC vs. CF Monterrey Femenil

NWSL champions NJ/NY Gotham FC will face Liga MX Femenil champions CF Monterrey Femenil in Group A on Thursday at Red Bull Arena in East Rutherford, New Jersey, USA.

Both teams arrive with a win in their previous match. Gotham won 4-0 at Alajuelense in its WCC debut with goals from FIFA Women’s World Cup winners Esther Gonzalez and Emily Sonnett.

Rayadas recovered from a loss in their opening match with a 5-nil win against Frazsiers Whip. Captain Rebeca Bernal struck one of the goals while Colombian Marcela Restrepo, earned a brace against the Jamaicans.

Club América Femenil vs. Santa Fe FC

Club América Femenil hosts Santa Fe FC on Thursday in Group B at Estadio Ciudad de los Deportes in Mexico City, Mexico.

Las Águilas have seen victory and defeat in their WCC campaign. Irene Guerrero led the attack with a goal in both matches. Sarah Luebbert scored the club’s first WCC goal and tallied four shots on target in the opening stretch.

Panamanian side Santa Fe seeks its first victory of the campaign after losing at home to San Diego Wave and Vancouver Whitecaps FC. Maria Murillo and Erika Lago are two of the team’s leaders in attack and will be looked at for an offensive spark.
