The Clausura 2025 Liguilla got underway with a playoff version of the Clásico Regio. Tigres Femenil were eliminated in the closing moments of the second leg as the club’s focus now turns to the 2025 Concacaf W Champions Cup Finals.

In international competition, the first edition of the Concacaf W Futsal Championship is underway. Eight nations will fight it out in the group stage in their quest to become the inaugural champion.

Northern Super League: Inaugural season continues

Canada’s top flight continued its debut campaign with three matches in matchweek two. Calgary Wild FC earned a 4-1 victory at Halifax Tides FC, thanks in part to a brace from Kahli

NWSL: NC Courage end Kansas City’s unbeaten streak

The Kansas City Current remains in first place after six weeks into the NWSL season, but its undefeated streak has ended after a 3-2 loss at the North Carolina Courage. Goals from Kaleigh Kurtz in the 90’ and Ashley Sanchez in the 90+3’ delivered a comeback win.

Reigning champions Orlando Pride took a 3-2 home win against Angel City and are second in the table on goal difference. Washington Spirit held on to third place despite a 3-nil loss against visiting Gotham FC, who move to one point from the top three thanks to a brace from Esther González.

USL Super League: Carolina Ascent FC strengthens lead

The USL Super League 2024/25 campaign wrapped up its April schedule with four matches, as the focus shifts to the final month of the season.

Carolina Ascent FC retained the top spot with a 5-2 win at fourth-place Fort Lauderdale United FC.

Second-place Dallas Trinity FC took a 3-1 win against Lexington SC. Tampa Bay Sun FC continues in third despite a 3-2 loss at Spokane Zephyr FC.

Brooklyn FC is fifth on goal difference, as it eyes a jump back into the playoff picture, after a 1-nil loss to DC Power FC.

Liga MX Femenil: Semifinalists decided in Liguilla

The final four teams in the race for the Clausura 2025 trophy have been decided. Three quarterfinal encounters began with draws in the first leg, including a Clásico Regio that came down to the regular-season tiebreaker.

After a 2-2 first leg result, Club América prevailed 5-nil at home against FC Juárez. CD Guadalajara won 3-nil on aggregate against Pumas UNAM, setting up a Clásico de México in the semifinals.

Regular season top scorer Charlyn Corral had three goals in two games as CF Pachuca defeated Atlas FC, 5-2, on aggregate.

CF Monterrey and Tigres UANL tied 1-1 in each encounter, with Jermaine Seoposenwe delivering the series-tying goal in the 90+2’ to advance on the tiebreaker as the higher-seeded regular season team.

LFF Panama: Playoff race down to the wire

The second-to-last matchday in Panama’s Torneo Apertura 2025 features four out of five teams in the Eastern Conference vying for the top spot. Chorillo FC leads with 28 points, followed by Santa Fe FC on 26, with UMECIT FC and Club Internacional on 23 points. Over in the Western Conference, Mario Méndez FC has secured first place on 28 points.

Concacaf W Futsal Championship: Inaugural edition underway

The 2025 Concacaf W Futsal Championship began on Monday at the Domo Polideportivo in Guatemala City, Guatemala, with Honduras winning a 6-5 extra-time thriller against Nicaragua in the Play-In Round.

The three-day group stage kicks off on Tuesday with the top teams advancing to the semifinals. The tournament’s first champion will be crowned on Sunday. The finalists will also collect the two Concacaf berths in the FIFA Futsal Women's World Cup Philippines 2025.
