After leading Mexico in their 3-1 Nations League victory over Panama, Chivas goalkeeper Raúl Gudiño was asked about the possible arrival of Ricardo Peláez.
Peláez is very heavily rumoured to become the new Chivas sporting director and Gudiño has given him his seal of approval.
“He is already in Guadalajara, isn’t he? I think he is a great person, with an enormous trajectory.
“He has a lot of football experience and he is a very prepared guy. If he is going to arrive, it is the best decision the club would make.
“However, those decisions are made by the people wearing the long pants. I will always speak my mind but I think that the decision that they make will be for the best.”
Néstor de la Torre is also on Chivas’ alleged two-man shortlist but is widely considered a longshot to land the vacant job.
