Barcelona continued their unbeaten start to the season on Saturday night as they dismantled Sevilla 3-0 at Román Sánchez Pizjuán stadium.
The Blaugrana had to weather an early storm from Sevilla with the home side coming out all guns blazing in their pursuit of victory.
But managed to score against the run of play in the 20th minute, after a lightning quick counter-attack ended up with Robert Lewandowski’s delightful chip being cleared off the line straight into the path of Raphinha, who headed home from close range.
It was nearly a magical moment from the Polish striker, so famous for his goalscoring exploits.
However, he didn’t have to wait long to take his second bite at the cherry because before the first-half was out, Jules Kounde floated a perfectly weighted ball in his direction.
Lewandowski being Lewandowski, he didn’t hesitate, expertly cushioning the ball with his chest before volleying it past the helpless goalkeeper.

Eric Garcia added a third and rounded off an impressive victory for Barca.
After three wins from their opening four games, they now sit second in the table, two points behind arch-rivals Real Madrid.
It seems like Xavi Hernandez is really getting to grips with his team now, and we’re seeing that too in the impressive performances from some of his key stars.
None more so, than the newly signed Raphinha.
The former Leeds star was simply unplayable at times against Sevilla, and one moment in particular in which he made a sumptuous pass to Lewandowski sums that up perfectly.
No, genuinely, stop that Raphinha.
The Brazilian looks to be settling into his new surroundings brilliantly and he’ll be hoping he can maintain this impressive patch of form all the way through to the World Cup in November.

Still only 25, it’s crazy to think that Raphinha has so much more room for growth in his career yet.
And given Barcelona’s long association with silky Brazilian ballers, we feel like this particular marriage could be a match made in heaven for both parties.
