However, he has also faced physical challenges, and he reportedly wants to take more time to recover during the season.

Despite his injuries, he was included in the French squad for the 2022 World Cup and played a crucial role in Les Bleus road towards the final. Ultimately, his decision to retire from international football may be influenced by the disappointment of losing the final against Argentina, and a desire to preserve his health and spend more time with his family.
