The Premier League season is on a break, meaning we can finally ask the important questions.
Like who’s the hardest player at every Premier League club and how do they rank against each other?
There’s a bit of a snide streak with Richarlison and we wouldn’t want to get in his bad books.
So yes, 20th, but the hardest at Everton. Please don’t come after us!
114 top flight appearances in European football, 48 yellow cards. Yes, really.
Norwich play lovely football and Hanley joins in with that. Until the opposition get the ball, and he’s the rugged archetypal Scottish defender we’ve all come to love. In a way.
If Richarlison’s a bit snide, Long takes that to a new level. An absolute nuisance, he must give every centre-back in the league a headache.
Have you seen the size of Lewis Dunk? He seems like a really lovely guy – too nice to come higher on this list – but he is absolutely massive.
The heart of the Chelsea defence, Rüdiger is a man not to be messed with. Please don’t consider that a challenge.
Most yellow cards for Crystal Palace in each of the last three seasons, who else was it going to be?
Signed from Slavia Prague in January, Souček managed to outrun every other West Ham team-mate by 1.7km on his full debut. Part man, part machine.
Yep, we reckon, if it came to it, James Milner would take Virgil van Dijk.
If Richarlison is a nuisance and Shane Long is a step up from him, Ashley Barnes is their ultimate form. The heir to Kevin Davies’ striking crown. What an absolute nightmare of a forward.
He’s huge, isn’t he? Huge, fearless, and a Premier League winning captain who used to bark orders at Robert Huth. The only reason he isn’t higher here is we fear his age.
Have you seen that tattoo? They say goalkeepers have to be a little bit crazy and we think Ederson perfectly fits that category.
Choosing between Tottenham’s centre-backs was hard but, if push came to shove, we think Sánchez has the size and the youth to edge out his Belgian team-mates.
Who else? Maguire has a great blend of toughness and snide for this list – just see how often he’s tugging on the shirt of an opposition player. He was always going to land high up.
John Egan played GAA! That’s enough to convince us.
Troy Deeney did time in prison after he pled guilty to an affray charge in 2012. He’s cleaned up his act since then but he continues to harass defenders every weekend. Ever seen him shirk a challenge? Because we haven’t.
If Andy Carroll can stay fit (and he probably can’t), he’d be right in the mix to win a Premier League Royal Rumble. Don’t count him out.
Tyrone Mings has TWICE faced charges for stamping on an opponent. One on Zlatan Ibrahimović, the other leaving Nélson Oliveira dripping with blood. We wouldn’t mess with him.
Do we need to say anymore than ‘remember when he fought off two blokes with weapons trying to mug him and Mesut Özil’?
If we do, you can check out these pictures of him working out in his own personal gym.
We think Adama Traoré’s speed gives him the edge on Kolasinac. Just. The pair would bounce off each other if they collided but Traoré’s superhuman pace just about tips things in his favour.
