Bayern Munich defender Alphonso Davies is officially the most expensive footballer (born after 2000) in the world.
Well, that’s according to CIES Football Observatory who use analytics and data to accurately value footballers.
The Switzerland based research group believe Davies would command a €180m fee – €55m more than what second placed Jadon Sancho (€125m) reportedly could.
Barcelona starlet Ansu Fati (€122m), Borussia Dortmund goal machine Erling Haaland (€120m) and Manchester United marksman Mason Greenwood (€115m) make up the rest of the top five.
Mason Greenwood – Manchester United – €115m
Ferran Torres – Manchester City – €106m
Bukayo Saka – Arsenal – €95m
Phil Foden – Manchester City – €70m
Callum Hudson-Odoi – Chelsea – €47m
Brandon Williams – Manchester United – €36m
Pedro Neto – Wolves – €34m
Alphonso Davies – Bayern Munich – €180m
Jadon Sancho – Borussia Dortmund – €125m
Erling Haaland – Borussia Dortmund – €120m
Jude Bellingham – Borussia Dortmund – €44m
Ozan Kabak – Schalke – €35m
Ansu Fati – Barcelona – €122m
Rodrygo Goes – Real Madrid – €69m
Vinícius Júnior – Real Madrid – €58m
Takefusa Kubo – Villarreal (on loan from Real Madrid) – €48m
Eduardo Camavinga – Rennes – €61m
Jonathan David – Lille – €43m
Benoît Badiashile – Monaco – €40m
Dejan Kulusevski – Juventus – €75m
The transfer fees feel slightly inflated to us, particularly in this current market, but we can’t argue with their talent selection.
