Gameweek 13 of the 2024/25 Premier League season marked both the end of November and the start of December as the impending festive chaos comes into view.
Manchester United enjoyed the single biggest winning margin of the weekend, putting four goals past Everton without reply to hand Ruben Amorim is first win in the competition. But Arsenal ran out 5-2 winners against West Ham United, while Brentford won 4-1 against Leicester City and Bournemouth claimed maximum points in a six-goal thriller against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Chelsea continued their impressive campaign with victory over an out of sorts Aston Villa, while Liverpool had last laugh on the weekend by inflicting Manchester City's sixth defeat in their last seven games in all competition to all but knock the reigning champions out of the title race.
Here, 90min ranks the six best individual performances of Gameweek 13...
Chelsea aren't being carried by Cole Palmer like they were last season, but it certainly still helps to have one of the Premier League's back on form after he scored his first goal in more than a month. That strike to cap off Chelsea's win and keep them level-pegging with Arsenal in the top three was of the highest quality. Earlier in the game, he'd laid on the team's crucial second goal for Enzo Fernandez.
Justin Kluivert's hat-trick was the difference as Bournemouth secured victory over Wolves to halt a recent run of defeats at two. It actually made a piece of Premier League history too.All three goals were from the penalty spot, becoming the first Premier League to complete such the unique hat-trick. It may sound like a gimme, but Kluivert retained his composure each time to keep Jose Sa guessing.
Ignoring for a moment that he seems happy to throwLiverpool under the bus at will when it comes to his contract saga, Mohamed Salah continues to have enormous impact on the pitch. The Egyptian superstar had a hand in both goals as Liverpool put out their statement of intent against Manchester City, laying on a perfect assist for Cody Gakpo to open the scoring and then converting a penalty himself.

Amad has characterised more than most the fresh start at Manchester United in recent weeks, kept on the periphery by Erik ten Hag but now fully starring under Ruben Amorim - which the new boss credits his interim predecessor, Ruud van Nistelrooy, for beginning. The converted wing-back impressed defensively at Old Trafford against Everton, but it was going forward that he made a huge impact. Amad walked with two assists and indirectly forced another in the 4-0 win.
As important as Martin Odegaard's return was, Saka being at full fitness following a much-needed rest during the international break has been central to Arsenal rediscovering their winning ways.In 74 minutes on the pitch against West Ham in Saturday's evening kick-off, the winger assisted twice and scored one of his own. He's now reached ten Premier League assists in 12 games, which halfway to the all-time record season record of 20 - and there are 25 games left to play.
Kevin Schade could hardly have done much more as Brentford thrashed Leicester City to make it seven points from the last three games and rise back into the top half of the standings. The Bees initially went behind, but the German winger got the ball rolling for the comeback by setting up the equaliser for Yoane Wissa, before then scoring a hat-trick himself to run up the score.
