It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Or so they say.
We think it really depends on which club you support and how embarrassing their festive fashion is …
… so here’s the lot of it.
These clubs didn’t even bother with a Christmas jumper this year.
Worst of all were Southampton, who provided us with nothing remotely festive to buy for that Saints fan in our lives.
Barely any better, Newcastle didn’t have any Christmas clothing. This lazy ‘print on a mug’ effort isn’t good enough. And it’s already on offer!
Sheffield United do at least have some festive-themed winter wear …
And the less said about these Liverpool pyjama bottoms, the better.
Now onto the clubs who actually bothered …
Why does the Reindeer have arms? Why does its colour look so weird against the otherwise-all-blue jumper. Why doesn’t it have a red nose*?
*yeah, we know this answer to this one
These colours, with this pattern, are a disgrace. I feel sick.
Nope. Just no.
The London skyline look is tacky, isn’t it? At least make an effort.
Ignore the penguins and a second and it’s actually lovely. But you can’t ignore the penguins. Because they’re massive and there are three of them.
No subtlety about the BURNLEY FOOTBALL CLUB jumper, where the pattern is nice but the sleeves look like they’ve been sewn on from another jumper.
Nice to see a different take – traditional Christmas-jumper style shapes but in an abnormal pattern. Well in, Palace!
Now that’s a Christmas jumper.
Again, a typical Christmas jumper pattern but with the club badge quite nicely included.
If we’re being honest with ourselves, this could’ve come bottom. It looks like wrapping paper. But, for some reason, I can’t take my eyes off of it.
It’s just a classic Arsenal shirt with somewhat Christmassy patterning, isn’t it? It’s hard to argue with the simplicity.
This is fifth and that’s a decision I’m still wrestling with. Is the football panel pattern nice or rubbish? I’m leaning towards the former.
Delightful! The right mix of festive and football, great colours, superb pattern. Villa make the Champions League spots.
Sometimes the classic just work. The colours go together nicely, the badge isn’t too big, while prominent. And you can’t argue with the pattern.
The pun alone puts West Ham right near the top of the tree. And the golden hammers on top of the tree are also superbly placed.
This is just brilliant, isn’t it? You’d have to be brave to wear it out – sure – but it’s a fantastic garment. Well played, Wolves. We want Nuno Espírito Santo donning this on Boxing Day.
