Rangers with just 14 outfield players for Dundee visit

With an absolutely chaotic 13 players unavailable for Tuesday’s visit of Dundee, Rangers manager Philippe Clement’s hands are truly tied for the first time at Ibrox with zero depth in any position at all.

The Belgian manager confirmed 11 players out, and we believe he forgot about Ryan Jack and Alex Lowry who aren’t really ready yet, and crushingly that includes Dujon Sterling who seems destined never to play again in midfield for Rangers.

But being serious, the manager’s squad for Dundee will be:

Butland, McCrorie, Tavernier, King, Davies, Barisic, Ridvan, Raskin, Dowell, Diomande, Cantwell, McCausland, Silva, Roofe, Wright, and Dessers.

Which certainly is serious. That’s 14 players excluding goalies.

There are absolutely no options left, which clearly means youngsters are going to be playing the last two matches for sure.

Unfortunately two of them in Lowry and Rice are unavailable as well – we may well get to see Paul Nsio promoted to the seniors, and why not we say.

The reality is if we don’t win tomorrow, Celtic are officially champions, albeit we already know they 99% already are regardless. If we win by anything modest like 1-0 or 2-0 that’s basically it too because they have +7 GD over us as well.

In short, what an absolute whimper of a finish to the season for this great club, a very, very, VERY poor end after we threatened, seriously, to secure 56 only a number of weeks ago.

We put ourselves into the lead and by combination of horrific management and atrocious performances, choked it.

We lost this, Celtic didn’t win it. But what a scandal that we made it this easy in the end.

But at least we’ll play the kids. Probably.
