Giovani van Bronckhorst’s side now travel to Sevilla to face Eintracht Frankfurt in the Europa League final on Wednesday.

The Dutch coach named seven youth team players in the side for the trip to the capital and their inexperienced showed early on as Peter Harin gave Hearts a lead on 24 minutes.

But it wasn’t long before the Gers were on level terms as Cedric Itten showed his composure with an equaliser on 33 minutes.

And right on the stroke of half time the visitors took the lead thanks to Alex Lowry’s finish.

Rangers took control of the match in the second half and claimed the three points late on as Cole McKinnon grabbed a third.
