Rangers ‘will accept offer’ from Arsenal for ‘scary’ Kamara – pundit | OneFootball

Alan Hutton has claimed Rangers “will accept” a big-money offer for Glen Kamara amid interest from Arsenal.

The former Gers defender, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, insisted the 25-year-old would have unfinished business with the Gunners after being released in 2017.

As revealed by Football Insider, Arsenal are prepared to offer Kamara a five-year deal after shortlisting him as a potential summer target.

The Finland international came through the youth ranks in north London but made just one first-team appearance.

Rangers value Kamara in excess of £10million and are working to tie him down to a new deal at Ibrox.

Hutton admitted he would love to see the midfielder stick around for another couple of seasons at Ibrox.

However, he insisted Rangers would accept an offer if the price was right.

Asked if he thought Kamara would have unfinished business at Arsenal, Hutton told Football Insider’s Russell Edge: “Yeah. Of course there will be. Obviously he’s come through as a kid there and it’s not quite worked out.

“He’s maybe had to take a step back to come forward. He’s been absolutely outstanding for Rangers. I mean he is way up there in terms of team of the year, player of the year. He really has been outstanding.

“So it doesn’t surprise me that the likes of Arsenal are sniffing about him. I want him to stay, simple as that.

“He adds so much to the Rangers team defensively and going forward. The scary thing is I think he can get better. Again, it all comes back to if the offer’s right, Rangers will accept it.

“It’s going to be down to him, he’s still very young. He has a lot of time in front of him. I’d like to see him stay for another couple of years.”

Kamara has played 104 times for Rangers since joining for a £50,000 fee from Dundee in January 2019.

He has 49 appearances, two goals and two assists under his belt this term.
