The visitors stormed into an early lead as Antonio Colak continued his fine run of goalscoring form. The Croatia international rose highest to meet a brilliant Ryan Kent cross before hammering a header in off the upright.

Colak doubled the lead, and his personal tally, at the half-hour mark as he latched onto an inch-perfect pass to fire a superb strike into the bottom left corner.

Matters got worse for the hosts when, just before halftime, Cameron Devlin was shown a straight red card for a late challenge on Rabbi Matondo.

From the bench, striker Alfredo Morelos added a goal of his  own with a quarter of an hour still to play. James Tavernier played a simple square ball for the Colombian forward to lash in off the right post before Ryan Kent sealed the victory as the clock ticked into stoppage time.

This win saw Rangers leapfrog rivals Celtic in top spot in the SPFL on 19 points whilst Hearts remain in third with 13 points.
