Young Rangers winger Kai Kennedy made his first-team debut back in January, coming off the bench in their SFA Cup victory over Stranraer as a 17-year-old.
Apparently, that won’t be the last we see from the talented teenager.
According to a report from The Athletic, manager Steven Gerrard has informed Kennedy that he plans to include him in his first-team plans next season.
Of course, Ryan Kent is the Rangers first option at left-wing, so Kennedy’s opportunities in his preferred position may be few and far between.
However, he’s been good enough to register interest from both Manchester City and Bayern Munich, so with one year left on his current deal, Gerrard would be wise to appease the youngster and convince him to stay.
Kennedy, now 18, is a Scotland U-19 international and has registered five assists in 12 matches with the Rangers reserves.
