I was unfortunately at the game in 1971 which was commemorated today. I had just started as a teacher locally at Penilee Secondary, and some of our families were affected. Distressing.

Random thoughts today. (the)Rangers set out to cause chaos, and that suited them much, much more than Celtic. When our midfiled is faced with this, they normally gradually gain control, but that never materialised this time.
Liam Scales was absolutely shocking on the ball and perhaps should have been substituted. He’d been doing really well recently (much to my surprise). I hope it was ‘just one of these days’ for him.
Reo Hatate urgently needs to be left out for a while – his (increasing) misplaced passes are distressing.

The close-ups of Taylor revealed a rather unhappy bunny, don’t you think? Bernardo or Engels? I’d take either – but they are both too inexperienced for a game like this. McCowan’s just a journeyman player who flatters to deceive.
Recruitment requires a Broony and clever Mooy or Rogic type: not all-action, but so clever with the ball. Was Kuhn just having an off day or is Jefte better than I thought?
Ach, weel back to auld claes and purrich at the Park on Sunday.
Anon, as ever…KTF.
