Giovanni van Bronckhorst has been dismissed as Rangers boss after one year in charge.

The Dutchman took over almost 12 months to the day and helped steer the Gers to a Europa League final and Scottish Cup win.

However, they lost the league title to Celtic and have started the current campaign poorly, finding themselves nine points behind in the title race going into the World Cup break.

Although Van Bronckhorst did steer his side into the Champions League group stages, they lost all six games, which included a 7-1 defeat at home to Liverpool.
