What is there left to say about the miraculous Antonio Colak? We’re finding it hard to put into words the impact this hitman has had, following two slightly ‘slow’ initial appearances.

Ibrox Noise’s Scott discussed how Colak had already proven himself after a few matches, with nothing but abuse aimed at him from most Rangers fans for such a conclusion in early August – but we backed him on the site, because we knew he was bang on.

And into October, Antonio Colak is now clearly top scorer in the SPL and has also delivered in Champions League qualifiers. He hasn’t been given a sniff of a chance in the group stage so we’re not going to even remotely judge him there.

But that record overall for his new club is just stunning:

9 goals in 13 appearances with an assist – when was the last time we had a striker this clinical, nailing a-near 1 in 1 record for us?

This eclipses everyone bar Negri in the 90s, who of course went AWOL after that mysterious eye injury, but the Croatian contemporary is blowing everyone away.

He’s the most naturally gifted striker we’ve had at Ibrox in decades, and he scores like it’s going out of fashion.

His stats in that first half at Tynecastle were literally ridiculous:

Two goals, two shots, two touches in the opposition box, two shots on target.

If that isn’t efficient and clinical we’re not sure what is.

Alfredo Morelos has never been further from the shirt than he is right now – thanks to this maestro up front’s form, the Colombian is reduced to a support act.

It’s nice to have the best of Morelos, but so much more, without the bookings and indiscipline, plus genuine joy at being a Rangers player.
