Rangers reach Women’s Scottish Cup Final at expense of Celtic | OneFootball

Rangers beat Celtic 2-0 at Hampden Park with both goals in the last ten minutes to reach the Women’s Scottish Cup Final.

After eliminating the holders, Rangers will play the winner of Sunday’s clash between Spartans and Hearts for the cup.

Chelsea Cornet would  break the deadlock and gave fair warning when her long-range effort had to be tipped over the crossbar by Chelsea Dougherty.

Natasha Flint threatened in response for Celtic with a volley wide of the post, while Kirsty Howat seemed in at the other end but was unable to take the ball under her spell.

With seven minutes to go, Lizzie Arnott forced a corner, which Rachel Rowe delivered and Corner met at the front post to send into the far corner.

Howat swiftly doubled the lead when gifted possession, chipping the keeper to secure Rangers’ progress to the final.
