Rangers loanee Sam Lammers added another goal to his tally since joining Utrecht on loan as his side overcame Sparta Rotterdam 3-1 in the European play-offs. Tobias Lauritsen had given the away side the lead just before the 40th minute, but the lead only lasted a handful of minutes with Ryan Flamingo equalising in the 41st minute. With time running down, Lammers grabbed his 11th goal since joining Utrecht on loan to take the lead. Victor Jensen sealed the game in stoppage time to send Utrecht through to the final.

There they will face Go Ahead Eagles. Earlier in the day they had overcome NEC Nijmegen at the Gofferstadion. Kodai Sano gave the home side the lead in the second half, but Finn Stokkers equalised in the 77th minute. With just four minutes to go, Philippe Rommens free-kick looped in over NEC goalkeeper Jasper Cilessen. Rene Hake’s side held on to set up a final against Utrecht on Sunday.
