The Gers could be set to utilise their new links at Elland Road in the summer transfer market

Rangers are keeping tabs on the situation of Leeds United forward Largie Ramazani at the start of the summer transfer window, according to reports.

The Scottish giants still do not have a new manager officially appointed, but they are getting work underway at identifiying new players for whoever takes that charge, with Davide Ancelotti and Russell Martin the likeliest candidates.

A development which has also taken place at Ibrox in the past week is the confirmation of a takeover of the Scottish Premiership runners-up, with healthcare businessman Andrew Cavanagh joining forces with Leeds owners 49ers Enterprises to take a controlling stake in Rangers, with 51 per cent of the club going to the consortium - and they may waste no time in utilising the link between the two clubs.

Largie Ramazani eyed by Rangers as new Leeds United links potentially set to be explored

According to a report from TEAMtalk, Belgian attacker Largie Ramazani is being eyed by Rangers as part of their transfer recruitment this summer.

No talks have taken place in regards to signing the 24-year-old just yet, but Ramazani is firmly on Rangers' radar as they hunt attacking reinforcements.

Ramazani, a former Man United youth player, was a major signing for Leeds last summer as he arrived from Spanish second tier side Almeria for a fee of £10 million, which came off the back of eight goal contributions in the previous campaign in La Liga - Spain's top flight.

Whilst many expected Ramazani to be a direct replacement for Crysencio Summerville on the left flank, it was Tottenham loanee Manor Solomon who got more game-time across the course of the campaign, restricting the Belgian to just seven starts from his 29 Championship showings.

Still finding the back of the net six times in his outings, Ramazani made an impact at Elland Road, but interest from Rangers may be tempting, especially as they have European football to offer.

Leeds United will likely upgrade forward positions - Largie Ramazani moving on could make sense

Leeds and Rangers using their new-found ownership share to transfer players for their market value could make the world of sense - if there's a link there to be used, then why not make the most of it?

And in Ramazani's case, given the fact he didn't really start much under Daniel Farke last season, it's hard to see him improving on that as he steps up another division - even with the status of Solomon returning to Leeds uncertain as it stands.

Should Solomon sign elsewhere, then Farke you'd imagine would sign a replacement left-winger, and if that happens, you'd have to assume that Ramazani would consider a switch to a club like Rangers.
