Rangers could be set for a “massive” windfall if they decide to cash in on Glen Kamara this summer.

That is according to ex-Republic of Ireland goalkeeper Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about Kamara‘s performances for Finland at the Euros.

The 25-year-old midfielder won plaudits for his displays against Denmark and Russia and has arguably been his nation’s standout player of the tournament so far.

Kamara featured 51 times for Rangers in 2020-21 and, as revealed by Football Insider on 3rd May, is drawing transfer interest from Arsenal.

And Kenny pointed out that a big performance at a major tournament can have a “crazy” effect on a player’s value.

He told Football Insider correspondent Adam Williams: “In the current climate, we don’t know how things are gonna work out exactly.

“But if any player does well in the Euros their value is gonna go up. It always happens. One minute you can be worth hardly anything and the next it can be massive.

“He’s done really well so far. It’s crazy to think that three games can change your value, but that’s the way it is.

“But then again, if you play well in them three games, you’re doing it in the big games on the biggest stage. So you know what you’re doing at the highest level.

“Playing in tournaments like that, it’s high pressure and you’ve got to be on it all the time.”
